I disagree.There's no new release, true but fix are commited on a
regular basis and when time permits.
We don't have a thousand contributors but we're still alive.

We didn't have waited for you to do this.
Debian, Fedora, Mandriva and Ubuntu people has done some work and
pushed their patches upstream.
Most distributions ships a snapshot of CVS (still lack of a release).
