I think it's a good idea, especially if framed in a "let's showcase
what women are doing in FS and work on promoting strong female role
models" fashion. However, I'm snowed under with PhD-related work right
now and so I cannot step up and take the lead in organizing such a
day. I'd be happy to help out, however.
