 PA 0.9.11 uses software volume control if the hardware volume control is
 too limited in functionality (i.e. has only a limited dB range, or no
 seperate volume controls for all channels). To make that work the hardware
 volume needs to be reset to some default value. In current GIT I changed
 this so that PA will extend the hardware range, the resetting is thus not
 necessary anymore and was removed.
