 "PCM Playback Volume" seems actually to be the default set by alsa if not
 set in the code.

 I've attached a patch in the wine bugzilla fixing this as well as wine
 trying to use incorrect device 'default:X' in stead of 'default'. Sound
 now works with the exception for directsound which seems to be broken by
 some other problem. I'm uncertain whether the problem lies in wine or
 pulseaudio..
