 When skype is used with pulse output, and try to adjust the volume of
 skype output in pavucontrol, the pavucontrol freezes, and if started in
 console, it spits out:

 (pavucontrol:17266): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_event: assertion
 `WIDGET_REALIZED_FOR_EVENT (widget, event)' failed

 Thus, it is not possible for me to adjust the skype sound out stream, and
 I have to kill pavucontrol.

 if I don't touch the skype stream, any other streams work just fine and
 can be adjusted.
