Comment:

 This is an issue in the ALSA driver which doesn't restart the audio
 playback properly after resume. Please file a bug to ALSA upstream.

 If it turns out that this is not an ALSA issue but indeed is PA's fault
 (which I however think is very unlikely), then feel free to reopen.
