 Hi, guess what, I am also encountering the problem (for a long time now).
 Sadly, it is still there, and the Wine guys do not seem to fix it, even
 not for their 1.0 release.

 Maybe you could have another look at what is wrong with DirectSound and
 PulseAudio or sit together with them? This would be great. Thanks..
