 You should probably use PulseAudio 0.9.10 at least (it is a major bugfix
 update from 0.9.9. The current "stable" version is 0.9.12 (for various
 values of "stable") but 0.9.11 and 0.9.12 are still a little bit
 experimental (a new glitch free core in 0.9.11 is still causing some
 fallout).

 That said, I notice that you specify --daemonize on the command line. This
 means pulse should go into the background... Are you sure it's not still
 running in the background? Try without --daemonize and see what happens.

 Make sure your stderr is not redirected and make sure you have compiled
 pulseaudio with asserts enabled to get useful output.
