 Hi,

I checked the permissions and ownership of /tmp/pulse-$USER and found that
 the directory and its
contents are owned by $USER. However, the permissions for pulse-$USER are
 set to 700 and the
one file in there - pid, is set to 600. There is another file called
 native whose permissions
are wide open, 777, but there is an 's' preceding the rwxrwxrwx. I
 thought the 's' meant a
symlink, but an ls -l doesn't show the target, so I'm not sure what this
 file is.

Should the permissions on this directory be opened up to include the group
 as well, ie. 770 and
660, or is that a red herring.

 Thanks for your help

 Mike
