 There isn't a way in ALSA API to detect this and automatically do it?

 If not, If you think that could be possible I can issue it myself to their
 bug tracker and see if the have time to do it. Make this could be
 fantastic, automatically have all the possibilities that a certain card
 have, only need to configure manually situations like analog digital
 switches for the same connector or other similar situations.
