#603: volume normalization

 Hi,

(Unfortunately) Sometimes when listening to a recording which uses a high
dynamic range of loudness I have to turn the volume up for this. I leave
the 'normal volume' a bit lower so I can use the headroom then.

Unfortunately when a new application with typically low dynamic range
produces a sound afterwards, it uses the now higher output volume which I
increased for the specific recording before. This results in a very loud
 output of the new application.

Some kind of 'overdrive' slider or better an optional default volume level
setting for new applications which overrides the currently set output
level would be nice for such situations.

 Best regards,

 Sladi
