 PA supports digital amplification just fine. Versions <= 0.9.14 did not
 apply clipping hence the result might be heavily distorted. However it is
 an intended feature to allow digital amplification and hence limiting the
 volume range is not a good idea.

 Also, you should not use paman anyway. It's out of date and not really
 maintained.
