 Yes, I can confirm that this has fixed the issue.  But as a sidenote the
 /dev/snd/by-id is not enumerating correctly. I have no idea what on earth
 uses that path but i thought i might let you know.  Basically only 1st
 card is shown.  I am sure its just another udev rule that needs to be
 updated.  Anyway thanks alot
