 Hmm, I am not really happy enough with this to merge this, because the
 channel maps of the sinks include channels that are basically unused. They
 should not appear in the UI, but they will if you use the profile sets
 like this.

 I think we should first make sure that ALSA gets fixed to include some
 high-level device strings that actually work properly on these devices.
 I.e. a "front:xxx" definition that provides two channels. and so on, for
 multichannel. In fact a patch for this was already posted a while back on
 alsa-devel, but nobody faught this through to the end. Maybe someone wants
 to pick this up again and push through with this?

 And then, after that we can look into making use of this for proper
 profiles in PA.
