 Your driver probably is missing working definitions of the high-level ALSA
 device strings "surround51:xxx" and so on.

 PA will only detect multichannel support if such device strings are
 properly defined and actually work. Without their definition PA would not
 be able to determine the rate channel order for multi-channel devices.

 Please test if this works: "aplay -D surround51:Gina3G -f S16_LE -r 44100
 -c 6 < /dev/urandom".
