#624: need proper support for Terratec EWS88-MT (ice1712)

Comment(by jisakiel):
Don't know if it helps; I'm experiencing the same problems on debian with
2.6.30-1-amd64 and pulseaudio 0.9.18-1, hardware being a Terratec DMX6Fire
24/96 (also ice1712 based). Works wonderfully if I add the following to
default.pa:
{{{
load-module module-alsa-sink sink_name=DMX6Fire_out device=hw:DMX6Fire
format=s32le channels=10 channel_map=front-left,front-right,rear-left
,rear-right,center,lfe,aux4,aux5,aux6,aux7
}}}
I can provide any other info if wanted or useful, although I don't use the
card that much right now, as it doesn't really support suspend
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/93273), at least
until I manage to get snd-ice1712 to unload and reload between suspends.
// (I agree, though, that alsa should provide working definitions for the
card, as managing to get a working asound.conf -which I no longer use
thanks to pulse- was really daunting) //
