New description:
I installed Warzone2100 from the Fedora repository, 2.2.<something> I
think now crashes on startup. Used to work so I think that a recent system
update, say within the last few days, broke it. Then again the only recent
updates appear to be openal related.
On advice from the wz2100 folks I tried running with sound disabled,
warzone2100 --nosound, and it now starts up. Without --nosound it crashes
so it appears related to the PulseAudio system
Building 2.2.4 from source gives, apparently, the same crash and the stack
trace looks like
