 I'm not really sure what you're saying here. It's clearly stated in the
 file that the circular dependency is deliberate (to save building
 everything twice).

 We've used --as-needed by default for years in Mandriva and I always set
 an exclusion on the PA package because of this issue.

 If you have a method that will make things work in Makefile.am without
 breaking things and without needing to build everything twice, then I'm
 all ears but otherwise, this isn't so much a bug report, it's just a
 statement of fact :D
