 If the alsa driver doesn't provide dB information, then when
 pa_alsa_path_set_volume() fails to set what was requested, the real volume
 isn't propagated to the sink's reference volume. The real volume is saved
 to pa_sink.real_volume by alsa-sink. I don't know who should then copy it
 to pa_sink.reference_volume - alsa-sink or the general code in
 pa_sink_set_volume() - but someone should do that.
