 I disagree. I've been using mplayer on a semi-daily basis for years and
 never had this problem since it was fixed way back when.

 Are you sure the issue is the same?

 Please provide exact replication steps, including detailed setup of
 mplayer and PA versions in use. Please open a new bug for this as although
 the symptoms may be the same, the bug (whatever it may be) will be very
 different and it won't help to track it alongside an old bug. Of course
 posting a link to the new bug would be useful for any users stumbling
 across this bug :)
