have an 10 channel version of the ICE 1712 chipset and the drivers maybee
only configrated for maximum 4 channels and all you have to do is to
specify the following lines, aux5,aux6,aux7,aux8 and so on? and then it
maybee work? i dont know.

You shouldn't have to do any additional configuration changes. If 11.04
doesn't work for you, then the Pulseaudio log would be interesting
(preferably with default alsa and pulseaudio configuration).
Ok, but it didnt from fresh install. How do I uninstall alsa and
puslseaudio and reinstall it as it is exactly from fresh install of ubuntu
11.04 ?
Or should I reinstall ubuntu? (seems like an to complicated thing to do
just to look this up).

drivers exactly?

replaced OSS a long time ago. There shouldn't be any need to use the OSS
drivers - if you think otherwise, you're on your own - don't expect any
support from Pulseaudio if you have the OSS drivers installed.
Aha, ok. so i shouldnt even have to install the oss drivers in ubuntu
studio to make it work but it should work from the start with the ALSA
drivers?

Ubuntu studio that is installed) doesnt use Jack as far Ive understand?

doesn't use it by default. I believe it's available for installing,
though.

talks to Alsa.
Ok, that clears some things up, thanks! But you could use whatever driver
you want to talk to pulseaudio or is Pulse audio and ALSA "programmed"
together??
Can I leave some tips for how to improve some things in the sound
interface? I have some ideeas to include an level meter for the microphone
meter (the alsa meter) etc. Are you the right one to talk to then?
Ok, to sum this up: How to I reinstall the drivers and configurations so
it is like a fresh install cause something didnt work when ive installed
it from the beginning.. :(
It would be really great if this could work do I can choose to work in
Linux and not windows and at the same time having music on :)
Does the fix for 11.04 work in ubunutustudio with low latency for the
sound btw?
Really thanks for your help though!
