#924: sound is lagging while starting/stopping VirtualMachine
-------------------------------------------------+--------------------------
Reporter: tynx | Owner: lennart
Type: enhancement | Status: new
Milestone: | Component: daemon
Keywords: sound virtualbox vm virtual machine |

Every time I start or stop a VM in VirtualBox it makes a weird sound (like
playing the buffer probably again(but i'm guessing)). Not really a
problem, but maybe it's a easy to fix bug...
I'm currently on Linux Mint 10 with everything default...
Here a copy of the syslog:
Mar 21 21:42:30 desktop-of-tim pulseaudio[2223]: ratelimit.c: 356 events
suppressed
Mar 21 21:43:59 desktop-of-tim pulseaudio[2223]: ratelimit.c: 388 events
suppressed
Mar 21 21:57:35 desktop-of-tim pulseaudio[2223]: alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us
up to write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to
write!
Mar 21 21:57:35 desktop-of-tim pulseaudio[2223]: alsa-sink.c: Most likely
this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_hda_intel'. Please report this issue
to the ALSA developers.
Mar 21 21:57:35 desktop-of-tim pulseaudio[2223]: alsa-sink.c: We were
woken up with POLLOUT set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned
0 or another value < min_avail.
