Screenshot of the problem

With my current setup pavucontrol's main window is unwieldily large, even on a
1920x1200 desktop.

  See the first screenshot.

This is a PITA for my endusers when adjusting which o/p to direct an
application to.

With the attached patch you get the second screenshot. Not elegant I know, but
at least the window now fits on the screen.
