Thanks for the reply. I waited a couple of weeks for you guys to replay, just in case you wanted me to run some diagnostics or some such and after that I
uninstalled the Pulseaudio server from my system as it made listening to any sound quite a challenge.
When Kubuntu 11.10 was released a little while ago, I upgraded to it a few weeks afterwards and the problem was still there. As I'm sure you know 11.10 was
released with the 3.X Kernel.
In any case, if there's something I can do for you guys let me know, and I'll try my best to help in whatever way I can.
