Preliminary patch

Hi,

It's difficult to know exactly what has happened here, but if those lines
appear many times, it sounds like we have a cycle in the filter sink graph,
somehow the filter is set to output to itself.

I've created a patch that should prevent that from happening. Could you try the
latest git version, apply the attached patch and see if it prevents your
problem? Thanks!
