This time, audio simply stopped playing and the SPDIF output stopped working. I
went into the sound control and attempted muting and unmuting all of the
outputs and this did not change anything.

I subsequently attempted to restart the pulseaudio control, and unmuted all of
the proper outputs, but there is still no sound. My receiver does not click to
indicate that it is receiving inputs.
