Assignee: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: crackling noise when recording (had_intel, alc663)
QA Contact: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: martin.tlustos at gmail.com
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: NEW
Version: unspecified
Component: alsa
Product: PulseAudio
Created attachment 90729
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90729&action=edit
Output alsa-info.sh
Recording directly with arecord works, but using pulseaudio (skype, audacity)
has crackling noise.
Workaround is to disable timer based scheduling in /etc/pulse/default.pa
AND setting
default-fragments = 4
default-fragment-size-msec = 90 (or higher, lower still produces noise)
in daemon.conf. Total hw buffer size is 371 ms (according to pulseaudio -vvv >
pulse.log)
Using parecord funnilly works.
