post the pulseaudio verbose log when you plugged the headphone
do your computer chassis have hda front audio panel or AC97 audio panel ?

the driver may need to differentiate alc889 and alc898 when apply CD fixup
since you motherboard have same pci ssid

do you think the driver should enable independent HP for those motherboard with
