Now that I looked more closely at what the patch does, the first part (adding
#ifndef __FreeBSD__) doesn't make sense to me. However, the mixer fd fix is
obviously good.

I'll apply the mixer fd fix. If you really need the first part of the patch
too, I'll apply it separately, if you can explain why it's needed.

I'm closing this bug, please reopen if necessary.
