The unloading is problematic because neither Zoiper nor Skype nor Chrome deal
well with a stream being killed from under them. When Pulse crashes, both
Zoiper and Skype have to be "kill -9"ed and restarted, and Chrome deals with it
slightly better and does not have to be killed, but it still loses access to
the mic until it is restarted.

I suspect the behavior of those applications will be the same if pulse does not
crash but their streams are killed. This effectively means the filter is
unusable.

>From my perspective, a crash is actually preferable because then at least
everything works from that point forward.
