I now tested ignore_dB with the Aureon card, and it behaved as I expected
(hardware volume is still used). What exactly do you mean by "software-mixing"?
My assumption is that you mean software volume, not mixing multiple streams
(mixing multiple streams is always done in software, since PulseAudio doesn't
support hardware mixing). How do you determine whether "software-mixing" or
software volume is being used?
