I have a laptop attached to a dell dock wd15
(http://accessories.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=450-AFGM)
via a DisplayPort USB-C cable.

The very same headphones are properly detected when plugged them in the laptop
but they are not detected when I use the jack in the dell dock.

I'll be happy to provide more info as needed, not sure what I should attach to
the bug.
