As user A (my main desktop user) I su:ed to user B and created the config file.
Verified that no user B process was running as user A, VT switched to GDM and
logged in as user B.

When logged in as user B, I went to GNOME's control center to verify that
output was set to "Line Out", set it to "HDMI" again and logged out.

I then VT switched from GDM to user A and verified that log files had been
written (pulseverbose.log and pulseverbose.log.1) and that no user B process
was still running.

I then VT swithed to GDM again and logged in as user B and noticed same
behaviour as previous login. Logged out and VT switched from GDM to user A. Now
pulseverbose.log.2 and pulseverbose.log.3 had also been created.
