            Bug ID: 102998
Summary: No easy way to get a sinks/sources volume in pactl
           Product: PulseAudio
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: tools
          Assignee: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: nicolas.fella at gmx.de
        QA Contact: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
                CC: lennart at poettering.net

Similar to set-(sink|source)-volume there should be a command like
get-(sink|source)-volume to obtain the current volume of a given sink/source.
This would be very useful for scripting and external programs and way more
simple and comfortable than using libpulse for that.
