Bug ID: 106909
Summary: No sound card detected and syslog error
Product: PulseAudio
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: alsa

I'm struggling with missing sound card on Xubuntu 16.04 after the latest OS
updates.
There is message in my syslog saying to inform you:
Jun 13 11:33:21 chromium pulseaudio[1459]: [alsa-source-Intel ICH]
alsa-source.c: ALSA woke us up to read new data from the device, but there was
actually nothing to read.
Jun 13 11:33:21 chromium pulseaudio[1459]: [alsa-source-Intel ICH]
alsa-source.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_intel8x0'.
Please report this issue to the ALSA developers.
Jun 13 11:33:21 chromium pulseaudio[1459]: [alsa-source-Intel ICH]
alsa-source.c: We were woken up with POLLIN set -- however a subsequent
snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value < min_avail.
