            Bug ID: 105504
Summary: Latency problem when combining sinks
           Product: PulseAudio
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: modules
          Assignee: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: ovvv at web.de
        QA Contact: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
                CC: lennart at poettering.net

I use ladspa plugins to increase the volume of low frequencies (more bass for
usual headphones).
The result of the applied low pass filters is merged with the default output
with specified volume ratios using module-loopback.
Here's the activation script: https://pastebin.com/kGU3Fnd2
However, when I close my laptop, wait a bit, and then open it again, it becomes
broken.
Either a huge latency (about a second) appears (this happens the most times)
or pulseaudio uses 100% CPU and no sound is hearable (e.g. when playing
something with audacious).
The problem happens with the loopback and the combine-sink modules, I've tried
both.

Here are log messages from when it used 100% CPU:

I also now and then get latency offsets between the default and lowpass output,
it happens especially when watching youtube videos and playing music at
soundcloud.com (tested with firefox and chromium).
Also, sometimes when disabling or enabling network connection I can hear a
cracking noise.

I'm using the latest pulseaudio master. When I used an older pulseaudio, the
problem also appeared.
