Ok, that's certainly not what I would have expected. I'll do some testing to
see if I can reproduce this sequence. I don't have the right kind of hardware,
but when I originally tested the patches, I wrote configuration for my laptop
that makes pulseaudio think that the sound card has a HDMI port (actually the
sound goes to analog output) with jack detection (actually the "HDMI jack" is
the mic jack).</pre>
