<pre>pactl shows that there are surround profiles for "HDMI" and "HDMI 2" outputs,
but "HDMI 3" only has the stereo profile. Is your problem that you want or have
to use "HDMI 3"?

What do you mean by this? Do you mean that regardless of which physical output
you use, only the "HDMI 3" stereo profile produces audio and the "HDMI" and
"HDMI 2" profiles do nothing?</pre>
