Hello,

I have been able to build pulseaudio on maemo 4.0 by getting the lates
libltdl.

I have added the pulse user, pulse group, pulse-access group and and added
pulse to the audio group. I added normal user to pulse-access.

I try to run the following and it gives this error

user$ pulseaudio
W: core-util.c: setpriority(): Permission denied
E: main.c: Failed to create '/tmp/pulse-user': Permission denied

 pulseaudio --system
W: core-util.c: setpriority(): Permission denied
E: main.c: Root priviliges required.

If I run as root

 pulseaudio --system
W: core-util.c: setpriority(): Permission denied
E: main.c: Failed to create '/var/run/pulse': Permission denied

and

 pulseaudio
W: core-util.c: setpriority(): Permission denied
W: main.c: This program is not intended to be run as root (unless --system
is specified).
E: main.c: Failed to create '/tmp/pulse-root': Permission denied

I feel like I have tried all combinations and can't seem to get it to run.

Does anybody have any insights?

Thank you!

-kwan
