I am not sure what kind of audio device you have there. The code in
question relies on properly implemnented file descriptors that signal
writabilty via POLLOUT when polled with poll(). If your device driver
doesn't support that, than you should probably fix it first. Of
course, it should be a much better idea to simply write a proper ALSA driver.
Please note that you won't have much fun with PA if you don't have a
proper implementation of the timing interfaces.
