[pulseaudio-discuss] random hanging when seeking audio streams

When I seek in a stream using xmms or youtube my pulse audio server
becomes a zombie and I have to kill it -9. After switching to the xmms
pulse output plugin but it no longer happens on the local audio but
still happens with RTP or module-tunnel.

I've also noticed that if I do aplay *.wav only the first file plays
and then an assert fails.

aplay *
Playing WAVE 'apert2.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 22050 Hz, Mono
Playing WAVE 'apert.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 22050 Hz, Mono
aplay: pcm_pulse.c:522: pulse_hw_params: Assertion `!pcm->stream' failed.
Aborted by signal Aborted...

It only happens on my laptop but it doesn't matter if the audio is
going to the local alsa out, RTP or module-tunnel.

Are these sorts of things know/common issues? They are certainly not
show killers.

Thanks,

Josie
