In Mandriva 2008.1 Beta 1 ONE KDE I lost sound yesterday. I think I've
traced problem to this:
*Code:*
$ alsamixer
*** PULSEAUDIO: Unable to connect: Connection refused
alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: Connection refused
$ pulseaudio
E: main.c: Failed to create '/tmp/pulse-ben': Operation not permitted
process 7359: dbus_shutdown() called but connections were still live.
This probably means the application did not drop all its references to
bus connections.
D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
Aborted
$ pulseaudio --check
process 7369: dbus_shutdown() called but connections were still live.
This probably means the application did not drop all its references to
bus connections.
D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
Aborted
How to fix this? I had sound. I did nothing to sound, no reason to. I
lost sound possibly as a result of some update? I think problem is that
for some reason pulseaudio isn't connecting but how do I fix that?
Please let me know if any other info is needed.
