[pulseaudio-discuss] Pulse -> ALSA:spdif broken on my Fedora 10 system.

I'm not sure when it actually got broken but I recently tried playing
some music in Exaile and it was a no-go. I have had this working
before because I was resampling output from mythmusic before I figured
out that my hardware and receiver could handle 44.1kHz PCM audio. When
I pull up pavucontrol it thinks the digital output it's working as I
can see the level meter operating as expected.
I've tried various configurations and here's what I know:
Pulse -> ALSA Analog is fine but quiet, I have every slider turned all
the way up.
Direct ALSA Analog is fine
Direct spdif (Digital) is fine.
Since the version of Pulse on F10 does not attempt to automatically
use the digital sink I have added the following line in the stock
default.pa just under the module-hal-detect line:
load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:0,1 format=s16le rate=48000
channels=2 sink_name=digital.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I'll post some system info below.
Thanks,
Richard
