Aha. Is that so.

Come on, this is bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit.

Remember libc4, libc5, glibc?

Remember xlib vs. xcb?

Remember the gtk1, gtk11, gtk12, gtk2 jumps? Have you heard the talk
about Gnome 3.0?

Remember the qt version jumps? KDE transitions from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4?

Under which stone have you been sleeping?

Have you ever seen the sonames of Xlib/libc? and actually understood
what they mean?

Please don't spread FUD.

Also, just because I am saying that I won't guarantee supporting the
current API forever it doesn't mean I plan to break it tomorrow. Also,
if we redisgn the connection protocol this doesn't mean we'll just
change from the old to the new one from one day to another.

We are going through transitions all the time, all across the
landscape. And yes, eventually there will be one in PA land too. So
what?
