$ ps -ef | grep mpd
mpd 9595 1 0 12:53 ? 00:00:27 /usr/bin/mpd /etc/mpd.conf
mpd 10639 1 0 13:36 ? 00:00:03 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --start
mpd 10644 10639 0 13:36 ?
00:00:00 /usr/lib/pulseaudio/pulse/gconf-helper
Looks like pulse and mpd are running as user 'mpd'. I am user
'mzagrabe'.

I don't believe so.
$ grep system /etc/pulse/daemon.conf
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf:; system-instance = no
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf:; shm-size-bytes = 0 # setting this 0 will use
the system-default, usually 64 MiB
I would assume that pulse should be running as 'mzagrabe' and I ought to
give some permissions to user mpd?
Or what is the best way to rectify this?
Thanks for the quick help.
