[pulseaudio-discuss] Option to decouple volume controls of applications and the master volume control

Hi,

I am using various different applications like VLC, mpd, flash among
others, and I am encountering problems with the automatic volume
controls of application and I would like to decouple the two methods.
Is this possible? The problem is as follows:
