Thanks. To start somewhere, what type of playback/recording do you want
to work? As in, what sample format, what number of channels etc?
Looking at stereo playback for a start, it looks like the driver's
hardware parameters does not allow setting the number of channels to "2":

Do you have a working "aplay -v" setup to compare with?
