Thanks for the patch! I applied it to the "next" branch, since "master"
is in freeze. I think this would be ok to have in 7.0, though. If there
is no opposition from other maintainers, I'll soon apply this to
"master" as well.

I did some small edits: as Raymond said, the "analog-stereo" mapping
was missing "direction = output", and I also renamed "analog-stereo" to
"analog-stereo-output" to be symmetric with "analog-stereo-input". I
edited the commit message too, to make the first line shorter (the
first line should only contain a very compact description of the
patch).
