[pulseaudio-discuss] upmix and downmix values for enable-remixing?

Hi,

I'd like to have a way to downmix sources that have more channels than
my sink, but never upmix sources with fewer channels. So I was thinking
of writing a patch to add "upmix" and "downmix" as valid values to the
enable-remixing option. Is that a good idea? (Also, apologies if this
has been discussed before. I did some searching and did not find
anything relevant.)
