[pulseaudio-discuss] Bluetooth headset no longer working after upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04

Hi all,

I have a bluetooth headset JBC LIVE650BT. It worked perfectly with Ubuntu
16.04.
It currently works perfectly with an ipad.

With Ubuntu 20.04 I can pair with the headset but then pavucontrol shows
the headset (under output devices) as "unplugged".
One can still select the device but there is no sound. Yet the fact that
the headset is listed as unplugged appears to be the only
indication that pulseaudio knows about the headset (see below) ..

I tried various suggestions found by Google but none appear to have any
effect.

I am listing some debug information now.

$* bluetoothctl paired-devices*

returns

Device 53:32:F0:10:46:94 JBL LIVE650BTNC-LE

$ *pacmd list *

does not appear to show anything related to the headset.

$
*journalctl |grep pulse |grep blue*

gives some things which might be warnings or errors...

Of course I am ready to supply more information if requested. It would be
very nice if this issue could be fixed...

Thanks!
Michel
